Great place to visit when seeking for handcrafts. The first impressions of the area may not be good but I felt safe.

Good place to go to get tourist items at reasonable prices IF you have a local with you. Not recommended if you are green as it is situated in an area that has an open market that caters to locals. For those who are less comfortable with the language then stick to the tented pavilion near the hotels
Dirt, noise and unsafe. I could not find a car park spot and the traffic was chaotic até the time I tried to visit. It seams not to be a safe place to walk as a tourist. I do recommend other fairs for those who want to by artesian products manufactured by locals.
That is a place in Maceió to buy, at the same, time souvenir in case you're a tourist, or to buy day-by-day tools typical from the Northeast and Alagoas cultures. Most of the product there presented are handcrafted. The prices are usually fair.
It's an okay place to visit. There's a bunch of local hand crafted pots, bags, clothes. Tip: go in the afternoon. I went in the morning and half of the stores were closed.
