Carrefour Hypermarket Joao Pessoa

Carrefour is a multinational supermarket chain that got its start in France. Brazil is its second largest market, but they can be found all over Europe & Asia as well as in South America. This particular store is a blessing & a curse. They carry some international items that you can’t find in other supermarkets and the store is huge. They carry all the normal grocery items as well as housewares, which are usually priced reasonably. The electrodomesitic appliances (refrigerators, washers etc.) and electronic items are usually on the expensive side compared to other local stores. Make sure that you pay attention to the prices because sale items can be very cheap, but non-sale items are usually much more expensive compared to competitors.
This location also has a gas station, and this is really a great reason to come here, because they always have the lowest prices in the metropolitan area.

People at the tills give out to many bags. No respect for the environment. Over priced goods and no baggage service like the cheaper supermarkers have. A House wife infront of me in the queue put a bag of lemons in a bag in a bag, 1 cola bottle in a bag in a bag, 1 wine bottle in a bag in a bag in a bag , 1 melon in a bag in a bag in a bag, everything was in a bag in a bag then she paid with her gold card and looked puffed out. Shes the type that has no respect for our environment. She took 7 min to pack. What a d***.

The shop is great, the app and online services less so. The app needs work.
