Casa do Bacalhau

Excellent food! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The food has a long wait times because they are making everything to order. They warn about wait times on the menu. We have been a couple times because the food is so good.

Sometimes wait stuff is hard to track down and, the live performers and cost of live performers is very high. Last time we went, we were serenaded by a singer walking around by each table. Not what we want when trying to enjoy a meal and conversation. Even with these negatives, the food is worth it.

I have been here several times over the last few years. Quality hasn't changed. Polvo a Nazaré with brocilli rice and potatoes reminded me of Portugal.

This is an incredibly authentic Portuguese restaurant! The design and detail make one feel that you’re in Portugal, with the waitresses dressed in traditional garb. The food is excellent, the service is excellent and the décor is really charming! I don’t know why I waited so long to eat here, but I won’t be waiting too long to come back! I really loved my lunch here! (Did I use too many exclamation points in this review ????!!!!!)

OK, you had better like codfish. If not, don't come. Codfish is their speciality and nearly every menu item involves cod. Cod is huge in Portugal, which is the theme and inspiration for Casa do Bacalhau. Other than their specialized menu, the only complaint is price. No cheap meals here.
