Hardman Praia Hotel

Other than the cold shower I had over the last two days, the rest was fantastic. The hotel made me feel safe and welcome. Everyone that works here is fantastic. The staff is super friendly, courteous, and professional.

This hotel is open about 20 years and is located in the Manaira section of Joao Pessoa, right in front of the ocean. The receptionist told me they have about 90 rooms (according to TripAdvisor, the hotel has 136), but only 4 rooms are oceanfront (they charge a little more for these rooms, but I think it was worth it). The lobby is very attractive and was decorated for the Christmas holidays. There is a ground-level pool at the entrance as well as a cute bar. They also have indoor parking available for a nominal fee.
Our room was huge—when I booked it, I didn’t realize it was a suite, with a queen-sized bed in the main bedroom and another bedroom with a single bed. It also had a living room area as well as a veranda which looks directly at the ocean.
The hotel’s employees are very friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast is included and was very good. The restaurant is clean and attractive as well.
The hotel is well-located in a nice neighborhood near shopping and other amenities. In all, I’d recommend this hotel and I’ll probably stay here again. My only complaint is that this large room only had one towel (we had to ask the chambermaid for another one and she seemed perturbed by this outrageous request).
