Maragogi Hostel

Main complaint is I wanted to sleep in, but the staff kept turning the fans off or they shut off from using too much power. The second one of the fans shut off, I woke up from heavy breathing with the instant heat. Also the cleaning lady turned the lights on in the room, which would only make the already hot room hotter. It was already bright from the sunlight naturally beating in through the window slats in the ceiling. I would have those windows covered up in such a hot area like this, poor room design in my opinion. If you have extra money and want to sleep in, I recommend finding a place with air conditioning. It was fine for 1 night, but it was too hot with the fans off.

Breakfast is fine, nothing special but you can fill yourself if you like the food. I found it lacked flavor so was tough to eat much of it, but it's something and that's more than you get many other places. Loved the juice! You can use the kitchen only from 10am-9pm which isn't great, but again I can't be too upset about it cuz it's more than other places offer. Staff was also nice and helpful with directions, pointing where to go from the nice view.

Price to quality ratio is crazy! Clean four bedroom room with bathroom and AC was super comfortable for us. The hostel is close to the beach and the view from the building is really nice, as its build on a little hill.

Very bad experience. The worst hostel i have been. You have to pay for everything (towel, sheet, ac) i think also for the smiles has people don't care you here. Now their is works inside the hostel so expect to be wake up by the sound of a hammer. In the When i arrive i was hot because you have to climb a hill, they refuse me to step in inside the hostel because check in is 14h, even toilets or kitchen was fordiben. Cherry on the cake, after all this, when i complain they canceled my reservation and tell me to go. 😳
So i'm so surprised of such behavior has since I'm in brasil where i stay people are so nice.

Breakfast lady was a bit rude after I got 5 minutes late. Most stuff was finished and all staffmembers were eating the leftovers. She kindly offered me to make an egg for me and my friend. I asked her if it it possible to make it 2 as everything was finished. I ended up with a rude lady and halve an egg. Aparently she was even trying to help me. Besides that a great hostel

Great place with awesome people. Very clean, cozy and new. Wifi is perfect.
